CONFERENCE CUP CHAMPIONS!

This year the Scottish Student Sport's Finals Day was held at St Andrews University. Our 3s made it through to the final following an amazing season and taking the BUCS Scottish 2A title.

Abertay knocked out Edinburgh's 4s in their semi final of the Cup, so the 3s went into the match with caution. Both teams started out strong and put up a great fight leaving it 10 all after the first quarter. In the second quarter, 3s shooters Jenny O'Reilly and Jess McArthur worked phenomenally in attack and the team stormed ahead to take the lead 30-20 at half time. With a strong lead the 3s just had to keep their heads and the win would be theres. The 3s played their hearts out in front of a the Abertay crowd, with some cracking interceptions in defence the threes extended their lead.

Abertay played amazing netball and their shooter, Jaimie Cooper was voted player of the match. However, it was the Edinburgh side who took the win 62-41 to become Conference Cup Champions! Congratulations to captain Heather Marshall and her team!
