Head Coach: Gail

"I have been coaching netball for over 10 years and I am also a B qualified umpire.  I’ve been working at club level with CENA Division 1 and 2 teams, and recently established a new Bounce Back to Netball club.  As well as being the current President of CENA, I am also alumni of Edinburgh University. I am so excited to get started with Edinburgh University Netball Club and help progress the wealth of netballing talent that the university has and also attracts. I look forward to working alongside Gemma and Jo to help progress the club and players in order to reach the clubs performance goals"

I also played for Sirens competing in the Vitality Netball Super League. Throughout my netball career I have coached various netball camps, specialist technical sessions, and have been head coach leading teams through their season. I gained my UKCC Level 2 head coach qualification in 2015. I went to University of Strathclyde to study BSc Biomedical Science then went on to University of Leeds to study MSc Physician Associate Studies. Asisstant Coach: Gemma Sole

Gemma Sole has been a part of the EUNC coaching team since 2018, working with the 1st and 2nd teams. Her specialist areas are the attack and defensive circles, and she represented the Scottish Thistles over six years, predominantly as a goal shooter. Highlights from her playing career include representing Team Scotland in the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and participating in the Netball World Cup in Sydney 2015, where she piped the team onto court (a battle cry of sorts)! She played one season in the Vitality Netball Superleague with Team Northumbria before retiring from elite level and now plays and support coaches at the highly successful Accies Netball Club, where she is President. She has also supported Netball Scotland as a coach, spending one season as technical coach for U17s and more recently as assistant coach in the Super Cup. For her day job, Gemma is an executive coach and leadership trainer. When not at work or netball, she likes to spend her time rambling through forests and rivers with her boyfriend and three dogs!
